This is an outstanding scanner with outstanding quality. It also allows you to scan negatives in an excellent way.
And it looks very cool, in my opinion they could have charged much more for this scanner as it i is at a level above other Canon scanners at this price range. You cant go wrong with it.

You are right about Canon Scanners, they are great. I would recommend the Canon CanoScan 8800F (click link to see it), this Canon Scanner has everything you need in a scanner.

You can even scan color films and negatives. It has a very high scan quality. The speed is surprisingly fast and basically everything about it is outstanding.

Im pretty sure you will love the design as well.

What does your web browser have to do with your Canon Scanner?

First try plugging it into another computer to make sure that it is not your canon that is on the fritz. If it works on another computer then try going to the device manager (should be in the control panel where you found that add hardware option on your computer) and uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers if you can.

If that does not work, make sure the scanner is NOT connected to your computer, uninstall everything completely and then reinstall. Only then plug in the Canon.

Many smaller “Notebooks” do but “Netbooks” do not have any type of optical drive because they are so small that you can’t put a lot of hardware in them so specs are minimal. You could buy an external USB CD/DVD drive to attach to a netbook, but western union sri lanka udawalawe I am sure you would have battery life issues if you do.

Make sure that the printer is NOT connected to the computer. Uninstall any software for the printer that may be present. Reboot…Install the software for the printer…then and only then connect the printer

Go to the HP website and download the most recent software for your printer. Also, if you have to turn off the printer during a print job, make sure you delete the print job off of the computer before you turn it back on. If there is a print job on the computer you will see a printer icon in the bottom right of your screen (near the time). Open that icon and right-click and cancel or delete any job listed. If you power on the printer when there is a job waiting it will print gibberish.

Hp is very well-rounded. They tend be be very sleek looking with higher quality parts than other generic manufacturers. Although the only problem with HP is that they are very proprietary meaning that if something breaks or you lose something such as the power supply you can’t buy a generic one to replace it, you’ll have to buy a replacement thats made explicitly from HP and the replacements parts cost more than generic. As far as scanners go, they get the job done and some offer many options, especially the all-in-one printers. Good-luck!

Consumer Reports for the month of August 2007 rated laptops and computers, and I know Acer did better than HP or Compaq in their tests for laptops, and I think they did good in the desktops too…..

Acer laptops are great because they are quite cheap for the performance they provide. But the main reason why I would choose a Acer laptop is that are said to have westernunion agents good support! After 1 year nearly every laptop tends to get hardware problems, and after 1-2 weeks you get your laptop back – other brands can be simply disastrous.

If the deal had completed, Acer is going to or has already bought out gateway.
Gateway is an outstanding buy. From the reviews I have read about Acer their computers are well worth buying. From what I have heard and/or read you’re way better off buying Acer than Dell.
Acer has an outstanding reputation. So has Gateway, especially their customer service. From what I read in mags of the difference between Acer and Gateway is that Acer, like Dell, manufactures their computer with br western union sri lanka tissamaharama anded parts, while gateway components are generic parts. Which is why the same specs in a computer of Acer and Dell are more expensive than a Gateway computer. Of all of the people I personally know who have a Gateway are glad they bought Gateway. Think of medicine, you can buy branded at a higher price or generic at a lower price, yet they both still works as well as the other usually.
Here’s the biggest difference between Acer and Gateway compared to Dell and other computer manufacturers, that is customer service, even recently I have heard horror stories from people who have bought a Dell. I still hear that Dell has the worst costumer service. About 2 months ago I warned a guy about buying a Dell computer. He ignored my warning and bought a Dell anyway. He regretted buying it, right away when he received the computer he had problems with it and he said he had the hardest time with their customer service trying to resolve the problem he’s having.
I’m amazed that Dell is still in business, shows how misleading advertising can be.

A few yrs ago, Dell decided to outsource customer service. So, you had to call to a foreign country to resolve any problems. People had a hard time clearly understanding the person they talked to, which caused Dell to receive a very high number of complaints from their customers. Sometime last year or earlier this year, they announced that they would return their customer call service back to the U.S. To resolve the customer support problem. The guy I mentioned who bought a Dell a couple of months ago, said he either still call customer service outside the U.S., or they still had the same foreigners you can’t understand clearly still answering the phone in the U.S. Either way, he said Dells customer service still sucks big time. He said that’s the last time he’ll buy a Dell and wished he had took my warning more seriously.
What’s ironic is that he bought a Dell, who’s supposed to be built with top branded components, yet still had problems with it. Yet I don’t hear such complaints from people I know who bought a gateway.
Anyway, from reports I have read and People I hear from, They highly recommend Acer and Gateway over Dell and the others.
From my own experience I highly recommend Acer, but from comments I have read about them, Gateway may be my 2nd choice.
Either way, Acer or Gateway, you’ll be making a sensible choice. Best of luck to whichever purchase decision you make.
